Hinsdale Warming Centers Open to Residents

The emergency warming centers have restrooms and telephone service but no overnight accommodations.

The library will close at 1 p.m. Monday. Please use one of the other warming centers after that.

The following press release is from the Hinsdale Police Department:

The Village has identified the Hinsdale Memorial Building, the Hinsdale Library, and the Hinsdale Police & Fire Department as temporary warming centers for residents who may need emergency warming. These are temporary warming centers with restroom facilities and telephone service; however, there are no sleeping accommodations at these locations.

Residents are encouraged to tune in your radio, television, or NOAA Weather Radio for weather reports and further emergency information. Visit www.ready.gov, www.listo.gov, www.redcross.org and www.weather.gov/chicago for weather related information.

In the event of an emergency please call 911. The Police Non-Emergency phone number is (630) 789-7070, and the Fire Non-Emergency phone number is (630) 789-7060.
