Hinsdale Village Board to Vote on New KLM South Shelter

The proposed KLM platform courts are also among the 17 items on the consent agenda for Tuesday night's Village of Hinsdale Board of Trustees meeting.

With one vote Tuesday night, the Board of Trustees will approve or reject 17 consent-agenda items that include the approval of a village social media policy and a resident concession operation at Veeck Park.

Several of the items, however, pertain to replacing the South Shelter at Katherine Legge Memorial Park. Trustees will vote an intergovernmental agreement with Lyons Township for the project and bids for the demolition of the current shelter as well as for the construction of a new shelter. 

The project comes after the village was awarded a $150,000 grant for KLM improvements, according to a May 26 TribLocal story.

Also in Tuesday's consent agenda is an item that would award a bid to Premier Platform Tennis for the purchase and installation of two platform tennis courts at KLM Park. The new courts, which will cost the village $148,000, . 

Tuesday's meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall.
