State Representative Patricia Bellock (R-Hinsdale) and State Senator Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale) will be hosting a free Senior Town Hall meeting in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Senior Town Hall meeting will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on September 4, 2012, at The Community House, 415 W 8th Street in Hinsdale.

“We would like to invite area seniors and their families to come to our Senior Town Hall meeting to learn more about Alzheimer’s Disease, which affects one in eight older Americans,” said Bellock. “Experts will be on hand to provide information about the warning signs and symptoms of the disease and care options. They will also provide any new information about the disease and answer questions,” said Bellock.

The presentation will feature Chris Garnaat, a speaker on education from the Alzheimer’s Association.

“As someone whose family is currently dealing with issues that arise when you have aging parents and grandparents, I am keenly aware that many Illinois seniors and their families have questions and concerns about their health,” said Dillard.  “I encourage everyone who is—or knows someone who is—grappling with Alzheimer’s Disease to attend the meeting, as well as those who simply want to become more educated on this issue.”

This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Congratulations to Dr. Jane Dillon, who as her patient while in private practice, I have known to beRead More a caring, skilled, and excellent doctor when I had serious medical problems related to my ears. While her new position will help many, I personally will miss her being in private practice.
