Election 2013: D86, D181 Candidate Forum Set for Thursday

The event sponsored by The Hinsdalean will take place at 7 p.m. at Hinsdale Middle School, and Patch will be live-blogging all night.

If you're undecided on which local school board candidates to vote for April 9, be at Hinsdale Middle School Thursday night. 

The eight candidates vying for seats on the District 86 Board of Education and the five candidates seeking spots on the District 181 Board of Education have been invited to participate in a candidate forum beginning at HMS at 7 p.m. Thursday, and Patch will be there live-blogging the whole thing.

The forum is sponsored by The Hinsdalean. 

The five District 181 candidates vying for three open spots will be on the hot seat first, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The eight District 86 candidates vying for four open seats will be the focus from 8:10 p.m. to 9:40 p.m.

Former Hinsdale village trustee Craig Milkint will serve as the night's moderator, according to Hinsdalean editor Pam Lannom.

Lannom said folks can submit questions for the candidates before the forum by emailng news@thehinsdalean.com or in writing at HMS Thursday night. There will be no questions allowed from the floor during the forum.
