Deadline For Uninsured Blizzard Damage Claims Is Thursday

Village is collecting a list of all estimated, uninsured costs in order to apply for state or federal assistance.

The DuPage County Office of Emergency Management is compiling a summary of costs incurred by property owners, businesses and public agencies from the recent blizzard. If DuPage County can demonstrate enough uninsured losses due to the storm, assistance may be made available through state and or federal programs.  The Village will be collecting and submitting a list of all estimated, uninsured costs within Clarendon Hills.

The deadline for submitting information was recently extended by the county. Residents must contact the village by noon on Thursday, Feb. 10, if their homes or business properties have experienced any property damage, such as a collapsed roof or downed trees. Residents are being asked to provide an estimate of costs not covered by insurance policies. The village is asking for the following information by email, phone or fax:

1.       Address of the damaged property, including apartment or unit number.
