UPDATE: Coroner Identifies Young Woman Who Died in a Fall Sunday

The 19-year-old was working in Oak Brook when she fell.

The DuPage County Coroner's office has identified the 19-year-old women who died while working Sunday in Oak Brook.

Stephanie Siers, of Carpentersville, was apparently working on the back of a truck at around 1 p.m. when she fell, striking her head on the ground, according to a release from the coroner's office. She was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital at 1:55 p.m. Sunday.

A 19-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after falling from a work truck at 22nd Street and Clearwater Drive in Oak Brook.

At around 1 p.m. Dec. 22, Oak Brook police got a call for a woman laying on the roadway, according to a press release. Police said she was unresponsive. She was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries, police said.

Oak Brook police determined she had fallen off a work truck; she worked for a contractor responsible for removing snow and ice for a nearby business property. Her identity has not been released.

The driver of the work vehicle was questioned by Oak Brook police and released without charges.
