Police Blotter: Why Did the Ducks Cross the Road?

‘Duck Crossing’ Here

A caller reported a family of ducks trying to cross 55th Street at southbound Route 83 at about 8:06 p.m., but when police arrived there, they said they could not locate them.

We Found Your Golf Ball—in the Window!

The rear basement window of a home on the 200 block of Middaugh was found broken at about 3:41 p.m. and a Titleist brand golf ball was found between panes of glass. The family believes it came from a golf course across the street.

Party Too Noisy

A homeowner on the 100 block of Woodstock promised police to quiet things down after police received a complaint at about 10:47 p.m. of loud music and voices during a yard party.

THURSDAY, JUNE 21

Loud Party Brings Police

Police responded at about 11:42 p.m. to a complaint of a loud party in a third-floor apartment of a building on the 200 block of north Richmond.  Music was turned down and people on a balcony went inside.

Two Coyotes Seen

A resident of the 400 block of Traube expressed concern to police about two coyotes wandering around at night, possible on nearby Woodstock.

TURSDAY, JUNE 19

Bicycle Collides With Car

A 16-year-old boy from Killeen, Texas, was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritin Hospital after his bicycle collided with a car at Norfolk and Blodgett at about 6:59 p.m. Police said the accident was the boy’s fault and the driver was not ticketed. The boy had cuts and complained of pain, but was released.

FRIDAY, JUNE 15

Water Fountain Broken

Teens are suspected of breaking a water fountain on the 400 block of Hudson  between 1 and 2 a.m. Police planned a special watch of the area.
