UPDATE: Woman Veered into Oncoming Traffic to Cause Ogden Avenue Crash
Victims were being treated for minor injuries after the Tuesday afternoon crash, according to the Hinsdale Fire Department.
A 24-year-old Naperville woman driving westbound on Ogden Avenue Tuesday afternoon veered into the eastbound lanes of oncoming traffic and hit an eastbound car head-on, causing the three-car accident near Lincoln Avenue that sent her and two others to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, according to Hinsdale Police Department Deputy Chief Mark Wodka.
Nicki Moderhack, of 2332 Keystone Ct. in Naperville, was cited with improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, Wodka said. Because they were victims and not charged, the identities of the other drivers involved in the accident, one male and one female, were not released.
The Hinsdale Fire Department responded to the crash along with the Clarendon Hills and Oak Brook fire departments.

Firefighter/paramedic Don Newberry, one of four Hinsdale firefighters on the scene, said all injuries from the accident were minor.
As a result of the accident, Wodka said, Ogden was shut down between Washington and Grant streets and traffic was re-routed by police officers from 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

According to Wodka, the three vehicles involved in the accident were towed from the scene.
"They were damaged to the extent that they were un-drivable," Wodka said.
Newberry said a head-on crash like Tuesday's might have been much worse in the past.
“Cars nowadays they do what they’re supposed to do,” Newberry said.
The Hinsdale Fire Department transported one of the patients, according to Newberry. The and Oak Brook departments transported the other two.
Moderhack was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6, Wodka said. The male driver struck head-on was driving a 2009 BMW 328.
