Two Females Report Altercation at Party in Hinsdale
In another police case, teenagers are charged with speeding and drug and liquor possession.
Battery—Two females attending a party at a residence on the 200 block of north Oak Street, Hinsdale, reported that they were victims at 2 a.m. Sunday when two other females, whom they know, "made contact of an insulting or provoking nature." The case is pending, and there no arrests at this time.
Possession of a controlled substance—Police stopped three teenagers when they were in what appeared to be a speeding car. Police said they then found liquor and drugs.
The arrests occurred on the 700 block of South County Line Road, Hinsdale, after being stopped at 1:29 a.m. Feb. 25 and a police officer said he saw alcohol products in plain view. Police said a subsequent search produced containers of open beer and vodka and a green plant-like substance, which field tested positive for cannabis.

Nicholas R. Scatchell, 18, 734 S. Stough, Hinsdale, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. A 17-year-old Hinsdale female juvenile was charged with speeding, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and not having a valid drivers license. And, a 17-year-old Clarendon Hills male juvenile was arrested with possession of cannabis and possession of alcohol by a minor.
All the suspects were taken into custody, charged and ticketed and then released.
