Two DUIs, Motor-vehicle Burglary Reported by Police

Two cases of theft were also recently reported by the Clarendon Hills Police Department.

DUI—Darius Sheard, of 1407 N. Leclaire Ave. in Chicago, was charged with DUI after he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol during a speeding stop near the intersection of 55th Street and Tennessee Avenue at 12:20 a.m. May 6, and failed an ensuing breath test, according to the .

Sheard, 25, was charged with DUI and speeding and was released to appear in court.

DUI—Henry Bunch, of 4304 Camelot Cir. in Naperville, was charged with DUI after he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for driving with broken tail lights near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Lincoln Street at 12:42 a.m. May 5, and refused to submit to a breath test.

Bunch, 54, was charged with DUI and driving without tail lights and was released to appear in court.

Burglary from motor vehicle—An unknown suspect smashed the passenger-side window of a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Willowcreek Court and stole an iPod and radar detector worth a total of $500 between 3 p.m. and 9:47 p.m. May 7.

Theft from motor vehicle—An unknown suspect stole a purse containing credit cards and other various identification from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 300 block of Reserve Circle between 6 p.m. May 7 and 8:15 a.m. May 8.

The exact value of the purse and its contents was not known at the time of the report.
