FRIDAY, JUNE 15

Driver Charged in Hit-and-Run Crash

Ruslan L. Tiniakov, 40, 211 W. 59th St., Hinsdale, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after Hinsdale police said his car struck two vehicles legally parked on the 200 block of west 57th Street at about 10:30 p.m. Police also said he left the scene without reporting the accident.

Woman Charged with Domestic Battery, Resisting Police

A 21-year-old Hinsdale woman was arrested by police investigating an incident in which a man was struck.

Bridget Anne Kelly, 5502 S. Madison, was charged with domestic battery, aggravated battery of a police officer and resisting/obstructing an officer.

Hinsdale police were called at about 3:23 p.m. to the 5500 block of south  Madison and said they found Kelly in the parking lot. She shut the door of a squad car on a police officer’s leg, preventing him from leaving the vehicle, police said.

After assessing the situation, police said they determined she had struck a man. While she was being taken into custody, she physically resisted the arrest, police added.

Neither the victim, police officern or Kelly needed medical attention, police said.

Kelly was brought to DuPage County Jail for a bond hearing.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13

'Suspicious' Behavior Leads to Arrests

While investigating an area where several vehicles were burglarized recently, Hinsdale police said they found three people acting suspicious in a car parked on the 0-100 block of south Thurlow Avenue at about 1:48 a.m.

One person fled the vehicle, where police reported a smell of burnt marijuana.

Police said Scott D. Callaghan, 18, 43 Baybrook Lane, Oak Brook, had, in the car, a grinder containing a green leafy substance that tested positive for cannabis residue. He was charged with possession of cannabis, less than 30 grams.

A 17-year-old Hinsdale boy who had a pack of cigarettes was charged with possession of tobacco by a minor.

TUESDAY, JUNE 12

Police Find Marijuana, Hidden Beer

Three 18-year-olds were arrested at about 11:28 p.m. after Hinsdale police said they were standing next to a car that had a case of beer underneath it at 215 W. 59th St. in the Hidden Lakes apartment complex.

Police said they determined the three had placed the beer under the car and that a woman had drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

The woman, Kelly G. O’Connell, 18, 1115 S. Spring Ave., La Grange, was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis, possession of drug equipment and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

Also charged with unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor were Michael A. Gebner, 18, 16W729 56th Pl., Clarendon Hills, and Jeramy S. Robertson, 18, 215 W. 59th St., Hinsdale.
