Three Eggs-iting Egg Hunts Planned Saturday for Hinsdale and Darien

Eggs hunts, crafts and a petting zoo are featured at local Easter events.

Three eggs-iting Easter egg hunts are on tap this Saturday in Hinsdale and Darien.

Starting promptly at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the Village of Hinsdale and the Community House are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt -- rain or shine -- at Robbins Park.

All children under 11 are invited to bring their baskets and take pictures with the bunny. There is also a petting zoo in the park and indoor crafts in the Community House, and it’s all free. Robbins park is located at 303 W. 7th St.

The Darien Park District will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19 at 9 a.m. sharp!  The hunts will be held at both Community Park, 7100 Clarendon Hills Rd., and Westwood Park at 75th & Fairview Ave.  The Easter Egg Hunt is for children 8 years old and under.  Bring your basket to collect the eggs.

St. John Lutheran Church and Early Learning Center located at 7214 South Cass Ave. in Darien will continue the tradition of hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with an egg hunt at 10 a.m. All community members are invited and the celebration is free.

In addition to looking for treat-filled plastic eggs, children and their families will have the opportunity to participate in games and to make crafts throughout the event.   There will be a puppet show at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Also, the congregation's K-9 Comfort Dog, Shami, will greet all who attend. It promises to be a joy-filled morning.
