The Hinsdale Police Department is investigating a Wednesday afternoon burglary in the 400 block of Justina Street, according to a release sent out Thursday afternoon.
Forced entry was made through a front door, police said, some time between Oct. 12 and Oct. 16, when the homeowner was away.
A list of items that may be missing from the home has not yet been given to police, the release states.
The release continues:
Residents in the area who may have any video surveillance footage from a private residential video surveillance system in the area are encouraged to contact the Investigations Division at (630) 789-7070. Home surveillance videos have aided investigators in previous investigations and increase the likelihood of identifying and apprehending burglary suspects.
If you observe behavior that is unusual or suspicious, contact the Hinsdale Police Department by calling 9-1-1. It is important to report an accurate description of the person(s) clothing, height, gender, and race. If you observe a vehicle, note the color, make, style, and/or license plate.
