Police Urge Clarendon Hills Residents to Report Suspicious Solicitors

The following information is from a press release from the Clarendon Hills Police Department:

With the recent burglary on the 100 Block of Prospect St. in Clarendon Hill, the Police Department asks that residents report any suspicious unsolicited persons ringing door bells by dialing 9-1-1.

Burglars target unoccupied homes and often ring door bells to check if people are present. If people are present they will likely pretend to be selling a service, or provide another excuse. Solicitors are required to be permitted by the Village.
