Police: Teen Slides into Snowbank, Waves Down Police, Arrested for Alcohol Use

Police also found a pack of cigarettes and chewing tobacco on the Burr Ridge teen, according to police.

Hinsdale Police arrested a 17-year-old Burr Ridge boy for unlawful use of alcohol and possession of tobacco after he lost control of his vehicle, slid into a snow bank and then waved down an officer, according to Hinsdale Police Department report.

The teen lost control of his vehicle at Seventh and Lincoln streets at 12:06 a.m. on Feb. 16, according to authorities. 

Police said they observed the teen to be under the influence of alcohol. The boy took a breath test, which confirmed he had been drinking, according to the police report.

Police also found a pack of cigarettes and chewing tobacco on the Burr Ridge teen, according to police.

The teen was arrested and charged with unlawful use of alcohol by person under 21, possession of tobacco by person under 18, improper lane use and zero tolerance, according to the police report.

The teen was later released to a parent.
