According to the local ordinance, chickens are prohibited animals in Clarendon Hills. Leinweber said the department has responded to Juzenas' house several times in the past—including after —but this was the first time the 35-year-old was cited.

Leinweber said it's possible the ordinance could change in the future, with the movement towards organic eggs and other food. For now, Juzenas was ordered to take down the coop.

DUI—Eric D. Rodriguez, of 15 Woodstock Ave. in Clarendon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he failed field sobriety tests and a breath test following a speeding stop in the 600 block of West Ogden Avenue at 1:12 a.m. Jan. 7.

Mischievous conduct—A resident in the 100 block of Harris Avenue reported to police on Jan. 9 that at around 3 a.m. that morning, she heard kids outside her home and woke up to find several bushes of hers "carefully removed from the ground" and sitting 10 feet away from their normal location.

The complainant put the bushes back and requested extra police watch.
