An unknown burglar entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Justina Street between 4 p.m. July 19 and 1:45 p.m. July 20 and took from it an $800 Heckler and Koch semi-automatic pistol and $150 holster.

Deputy Chief Mark Wodka said investigators are following up to establish a more definitive timeframe on the burglary. Preliminarily, he said, there appears to be no Illinois weapons possession violations related to the gun being in the victim's car.
