$1K in Pink Tickets Stolen, Residential Burglary Reported: Police Blotter

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20

Fraudulent Bank Withdrawal

A customer of TCF Bank reported to police at 4:07 p.m. that, after depositing a check at the bank's branch at Jewel-Osco, the exact amount was withdrawn from the account by an unknown person the same day. Police said the victim filed a police report as part of the bank's reimbursement process.

Pricey Pink Tickets Stolen

Police said four tickets to a March 9 Pink concert worth a combined $1,180 were stolen from a resident in the 0-100 block of Blodgett Avenue by an unknown person in October, after UPS delivered the tickets but before the resident picked them up.

The resident recently called UPS to check on the status of the tickets, police said, after wondering why it was taking so long for them to be delivered. UPS told the resident the package had indeed been delivered in the fall.

MONDAY, FEB. 18

No Driver's License

Astrit Cuti, 43, of the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, Addison, was charged with driving without a valid license during a traffic stop in the 200 block of Columbine Drive at 2:50 p.m., police said. He was released to appear in court.

Route 83 Hit-and-Run

An unknown male driver in a black SUV rear-ended a victim's car on Route 83 near 55th Street, then exited at 55th and drove off at 5:19 p.m., police said. There is no estimate of the damage to the rear bumper of the victim's car.

SUNDAY, FEB. 17

False Mortgage Applications Discovered

A resident from the 200 block of Oxford Avenue reported at 3:18 p.m. that his or her Social Security number was associated with two fraudulent mortgage application inquiries, police said. No money loss was suffered.

SATURDAY, FEB. 16

DUI Charges for Evergreen Park Woman 

Amanda Sieracki, 26, of the 10100 block of South Homan Avenue, Evergreen Park, was charged with DUI, police said, after she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a 2:30 a.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Ogden and Warwick avenues, and failed an ensuing breath test.

Sieracki, who was released to appear in court, was also charged with speeding and improper lane use.

Burglary on Ann Street

A known suspect entered a home in the 100 block of Ann Street through an unlocked kitchen window at around 4:30 p.m. and stole a digital camera, several bankcards, and a small amount of cash, police said. Nobody was home at the time of the burglary.

Charges against the suspect are pending.
