Man Charged With Theft: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, March 25-28

Forgery

Police received a report on this date from the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue of someone using a resident's bank account at 2:25 p.m. March 21 to cash a fraudulent check. The check was cashed for $1,750 and a case is pending.

Man Charged With Theft

Police charged Richard J. Heavrin, 27, of the 400 block of Chestnut Street, Hinsdale, with theft under $300. He was arrested at 9:30 a.m. on this day in connection to a March 25 incident at a business on the same block. Some copper pipe was stolen at 7:30 a.m. and Heavrin had authorized access to the building during the time of the theft, police said.

Heavrin was also the suspect of previous thefts at this location that occurred within the past two months, according to police. He was charged and released to appear in court.
