Man Charged With Taking Parking Meter Batteries: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, June 17-20

THURSDAY, JUNE 20

Obstructing Identification

Patrick T. Mullaney, 21, of the 800 block of McKinley, Hinsdale, was charged with obstructing identification, driving while license revoked and failure to signal. Mullaney was arrested at 9:35 a.m. on the 500 block of West Ogden Avenue. He was pulled over for failing to signal a lane change, police said.

Mullaney did not have his driver’s license and gave the officer false information when asked for his name, according to police. He was charged and released to appear in court.

TUESDAY, JUNE 18

Theft of Meter Batteries

Alberto Munoz, 39, of the 5200 block of South 73rd Court, Summit, was charged with theft at the Garfield parking lot. Munoz was arrested at 1:15 p.m. after he took   an unattended box of batteries being used to replace the batteries in the parking meters, according to police. He was charged and released to appear in court.

MONDAY, JUNE 17

Tires Slashed    

Someone slashed tires on two cars parked in a driveway on the 900 block of Stough Street. The incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. June 16 and 8 p.m. June 17, police said.
