Man Avoids Police Crash, Gets DUI Charge: Police Blotter

SUNDAY, JUNE 2

Windows Busted

Someone broke two windows and entered a vacant home on the 900 block of Cleveland Road. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. May 31 and 11:05 a.m. June 2, according to a report. Nothing was reported missing from the home. 

DUI, Driving Off Roadway I

Piotr Pisarczyk, 23, of the 3600 block of West 55th Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving off a roadway. Police at 4:14 a.m. were dispatched to assist a motorist stuck in a ditch by the Route 83 exit ramp to 55th Street, according to a report. Pisarczyk was observed at the scene to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test to determine blood alcohol level. He was charged and released to appear in court.

SATURDAY, JUNE 1

DUI, Improper Lane Use

Frank A. Levato, 61, of the 300 block of Trinity Lane, Oak Brook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal and improper lane usage. Police at 10:41 p.m. stopped Levato at 55th Street and Route 83 for improper lane use and failing to signal a lane change, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test to determine blood alcohol level. He was charged and released to appear in court.

DUI, Driving Off Roadway II

Scott T. Hylard, 21, of the 5500 block of South Madison Street, Hinsdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC .08 or more and driving off a roadway. Hylard at 5:33 p.m. drove off the road at 55th Street and County Line Road to avoid hitting a parked police squad car investigating a traffic accident, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted a breath test that indicated his blood alcohol content was greater than .08. He was charged and released to appear in court.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 29

Backpack with $500 Laptop Stolen

Someone entered a person's unlocked vehicle and stole a backpack with a $500 laptop as well as sunglasses, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. May 28 and 8 a.m. May 29 while the vehicle was parked in a driveway on the 800 block of South Quincy.
