Life-Size Dracula Statue, Xbox 360 Among Recent Hinsdale Thefts

The statue was taken from the front entrance of a Hinsdale home while the game console was taken from Blockbuster Video.

Theft—An unknown suspect took a “solid wood” Dracula statue from the front doorway of a residence in the 600 block of Mills Street between 7 a.m. Nov. 5 and 8 a.m. Nov. 7, according to the .

The statue, which weighed between 80 and 100 lbs., was worth $390, according to the police department’s report. The case is currently pending.

Retail theft—Two suspects are being investigated for the theft of a $300 Xbox 360 game console from a store display at Blockbuster Video, 30 S. Lincoln St., which occurred at 6:02 p.m. Oct. 27, according to Hinsdale Police.

No charges have been filed. A store employee reported the theft on Nov. 5 and it was later determined the console was stolen on the above date.

Deceptive practice—A known male suspect allegedly used bad checks to pay for $183.42 worth of items at Kramer Foods, 16 Grant Sq., during three occasions between Sept. 16 and Sept. 30, according to Hinsdale Police.

The incidents were reported to police by a Kramer Foods employee on Nov. 5, and the suspect was contacted. The case is currently pending.

Theft—A 15-year-old female juvenile from Westmont was cited for stealing an iPod Touch from a gym locker at Hinsdale Central High School at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 20, according to Hinsdale Police.

The suspect was released to appear in court.

Theft—A female complainant reported to Hinsdale Police that her iPhone was stolen while it was located in the main office of Monroe School, 210 N. Madison St., between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Oct. 31.

There are no suspects at this time and the case is pending.
