In Court This Week: Suspect in Wheaton Cold-Case Murder

Here are the cases Patch is keeping its eye on in DuPage County.

Among the DuPage County court cases with hearings this week is a Darien triple-murder, an aggravated DUI in Lisle, and the alleged murder of a father by his son in Woodridge. 

Darien— returns to court again on Aug. 24 for a possible move to sever his triple murder trial from co-defendant Johnny Borizov. 

Elmhurst—, who was found not guilty of attempted murder by reason of insanity, returns to court Aug. 23 for an update on a Department of Human Services report on treatment options for Clanton.

Lisle—, accused of aggravated DUI in the death of a pedestrian, is scheduled for a hearing on Aug 22. The summary suspension of his license was dismissed, so there might be trouble for the prosecution. 

Lisle—A status hearing is set for Aug. 23 in by the family of a former student who overdosed in a campus-run apartment. The school is accused of deliberately disposing of the student's personal belongings after hear death. This most likely will be an appearance to schedule a future hearing on the motion to dismiss and other issues.

Naperville—Two of the suspects in —Clarence Guyton and Robert Jackson—are scheduled for status hearings on Aug. 22

Naperville—, accused of attempted child abduction, is scheduled for a hearing on Aug. 22. It will be his first formal appearance after his recent arrest. 

Wheaton
—Cold-case murder suspect is scheduled for an Aug. 22 hearing, which could possibly be an arraignment. 

Woodridge
—The first formal court appearance for murder suspect is Aug. 22. Reports have said he and his father, who Desai is accused of murdering, argued about money before the killing. Patch has found that the family's home was in foreclosure, but no other financial issues were apparent in court records.
