In Court This Week: Sentencing for Darien Mortgage Thieves

Here's a look at some of the cases we're keeping an eye on this week.

It's a slow pre-holiday week at the DuPage County Courthouse, but there are hearings in a few notable cases, including the Darien triple murder case. Also, two women convicted of stealing millions from mortgage customers are set to be sentenced. 

Darien— returns to court May 25 for another hearing in his triple murder case. His attorney has been waiting on further results of psychological exams, but hasn't indicated any affirmative defenses at this point. Nodarse's mental state is emerging as a defense for co-defendant Johnny Borizov. 

Darien—Sentencing for  is still on for May 26 as of right now. The pair pleaded guilty in April to nine Class 1 felony theft charges for taking millions from mortgage customers.

Elmhurst—The —Brian, Bryan and Steven—are all scheduled for hearings on May 24 relating to a March altercation at the Spring Inn the three men were involved in. These are likely status dates where trial dates could be set, based on what their attorney said recently. 

Glen Ellyn—The Ruisard v. Glen Ellyn dispute related to whether the village followed its own ordinance in approving cell antenna for the village water tower returns to court on May 27 for what is expected to be a summary judgment ruling seeking to have the case dismissed.
