In Court This Week: Man Allegedly Mailed Himself Marijuana, Triple Murder Status

Here's a look at some of the cases we're keeping an eye on this week.

Among the cases being heard in DuPage County Court this week is a former Tinley Park music store owner accused of mailing himself 14 pounds of marijuana and a status hearing on a triple murder case in Darien.

Burr Ridge— returns to court on Feb. 23 for a hearing that could include further discussion of whether his past work as a police officer will be allowed as evidence at trial, as well an outstanding motion on text messages tied to the case. Gilbert is the Chicago man charged with the 2009 murder of Jason Dragos in Burr Ridge and who now faces a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Dragos' widow. 

Darien— returns to court Feb. 22 for a status hearing in a triple murder case. Last time, his attorneys asked for another evaluation related to his sanity.

Naperville—A holdover from last week: A Naperville man wants a judge to hear his appeal of a red-light ticket he received from city. He claims the administrative hearing Naperville gave him was unfair because it didn't allow for his evidence that shows it wasn't him.

Tinley Park—A status hearing is scheduled Feb. 22 for , the California man and former Tinley Park music store owner accused of mailing 14 pounds of pot to himself at an Elmhurst storage facility.
