In Court This Week: Burr Ridge Murder Suspect, Naperville Man Who Impersonated An Attorney

A look at the court cases we are keeping an eye on this week.

Among the cases in DuPage County Court this week are a murder suspect from Burr Ridge and a man charged with multiple counts of impersonating an attorney in Naperville.

Burr Ridge—John Gilbert, Dragos murder, returns to court on April 1, for hearing on prosecution's formal attempt to introduce details of UPS workers compensation scheme to the jury at trial. Prosecutors are also seeking to block Gilbert's attorneys from using a defense that tries to point to a non-specific third-party as Dragos' killer.

Downers Grove—
Ruth Kadlec, accused of taking money from a high school fund, is scheduled for a March 28 hearing where likely either a trial will be set or a plea deal reached.

Elmhurst—Sandra Clanton, attempted murder, is scheduled for a status hearing on March 29.

Naperville—Michael Gardner, indicted on multiple counts of pretending to be an attorney, is scheduled for a hearing on March 28.
