In Court This Week: An Alleged Murderer and a Career Thief

Here's a look at a few of the cases Patch is keeping an eye on.

Several high-profile DuPage County cases have hearings scheduled for the upcoming week. Below is Patch's quick preview.

Burr Ridge—Murder suspect  returns to court on Aug. 2 for what will likely be an another update on his defense team's analysis of computer records pulled by investigators. They are still likely to want to introduce evidence someone other than Gilbert killed Jason Dragos. 

Elmhurst— is scheduled for hearing on Aug. 1 in their case pertaining to an altercation at an area hotel. The family's attorney keeps promising a civil lawsuit is coming, but that's not likely until these criminal cases start to go away.

Glen Ellyn—"Career Thief" has an Aug 1 status hearing in her three new felony cases. 

Glen Ellyn—, the former Glenbard West player charged with sexual assault, returns to court Aug. 3 in Rolling Meadows (Cook County) as he gets closer to his scheduled trial date.

Lisle—, charged with aggravated DUI, is scheduled for arraignment—although he hasn't been indicted—on Aug. 1. Typically, there's no reason to schedule an arraignment without an indictment or the expectation of one.
