Hinsdale Teen Charged With Underage Drinking: Police Blotter

THURSDAY, JULY 25

DUI

Benjamin D. Weed, 19, of the first block of East North Street, Hinsdale, was charged with driving under the influence, two counts of disobeying a stop sign and failure to signal when required. Police at 12:31 a.m. pulled Jones over on the first block of East North Street for failing to stop at two stop signs and failing to signal when turning, according to a report.

Weed was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test. He was charged and released to appear in court.

TUESDAY, JULY 23

Underage Drinking

A 16-year-old male from Hinsdale was charged with unlawful use of alcohol by a person under 21. Police were dispatched at 9:37 p.m. to a report of a suspicious person in the Robbins Park weaving while walking. The teen was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, according to police. He was charged and released to a parent.
