Hinsdale Man Falls From Moving Car, Traffic Interrupted After Domestic Dispute Leads to Accident

The accident took place Thursday in the area of 57th and Washington Streets.

Traffic around 57th Street and Washington was affected temporarily around noon on Thursday after an accident in the area. Hinsdale Police say they arrived on the scene to help with an ambulance call for someone who was bleeding from the head.

The Hinsdale Fire Department was treating a 26-year-old Hinsdale man that was suffering from head injuries. He was later transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Hinsdale Police said the man was hurt when he fell from the hood of a moving vehicle  being driven by a 22-year-old male family member, who lives with him in the 5700 block of Astony Court.

The 26-year-old allegedly clung to the hood of the moving vehicle after a domestic dispute that occurred at their home earlier that day.

A Felony Investigative Assistance Team crash reconstruction team also was called out to investigate the accident.

As of this time, no charges have been filed, and the driver of the vehicle is not in custody, but both the Hinsdale and FIAT investigations continue. 

As of Friday, the male victim was still undergoing medical treatment at Good Samaritan Hospital.
