Hinsdale Man Charged With Possession of a Controlled Substance

A warming house break-in and the egging of a home were also recently reported to Hinsdale Police.

Possession of a controlled substance—An 18-year-old Hinsdale man, for whom the had a Possession of a Controlled Substance arrest warrant, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of South Grant Street.

Anthony M. Rodriguez, of 314 The Lane in Hinsdale, was stopped by police after the warrant was issued July 1 based on lab results that indicated a substance Rodriguez was found to be in possession of during a Feb. 25 vehicle stop was the controlled substance Clonazepam.

Rodriguez was arrested and released on bond to appear in court.

Criminal damage to property—Unknown suspects used a wooden bench at Burns Field to break into the park’s warming house between 9 p.m. July 7 and 8:30 a.m. July 8, according to Hinsdale Police.

Damage was done to the building’s window and window frames, according to police, though the cost of the damage was not yet known at the time of the report. It appeared suspects entered the warming house but did not take anything.

Criminal damage to property—A male victim from the 200 block of Phillippa Street reported to police at 9:41 p.m. July 10 that unknown suspects egged his home, causing damage to two brick areas on the house.

Costs to repair the damage were unknown at the time of the report, according to Hinsdale Police.
