Hinsdale Central Teens Caught With Tobacco: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, Sept. 16-22

Three teens were caught with tobacco in as many days at Hinsdale Central High School, according to police.

Each of the Hinsdale teens, two 17-year-old males and one 16-year-old female, were issued a local ordinance citation for unlawful possession of tobacco. They were then sent back to their specific class at the school on the 5500 block of South Grant Street.

Each of the males were seen chewing tobacco during gym class, according to police reports. One male was cited at 11 a.m. Sept. 17 and the other was cited at 8:40 a.m. Sept. 18. 

The female was seen smoking a cigarette and was in possession of a pack of cigarettes, according to police. She was cited at 10:50 a.m. Sept. 16.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 22

Fire Alarm Fanatic

Someone intentionally pulled a fire alarm on three separate incidents, causing false activations at Hinsdale Hospital on the 100 block of North County Line Road. The incidents took place between 4:28 a.m. and 5:38 a.m. Sept. 20 and 9:41 a.m. Sept. 22, according to police. A case is pending and complaints will be signed.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 19

Chalking it Up

Someone was observed on video surveillance writing on a building and grounds with yellow chalk on the 700 block of North York Road. The incident occurred at 8 p.m., according to police. A case is pending.
