Hinsdale Bicyclist Hit By Car

Police say the accident happened at the intersection of Malden and Ogden Avenues in La Grange.

A Hinsdale man was hit by a car at the intersection of Malden and Ogden Avenues. The accident happened at about 6:44 p.m. on Oct. 29. William J. Lewis, 41, was brought to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition was not available at the time of this report.

The other driver Martin Henehan, 44, of 406 Malden Ave. in La Grange Park was ticketed for failure to yield at an intersection. He told police he was southbound on Malden and started to turn left to go east on Ogden when he did not see the bicycle that was turning left from eastbound Ogden. Henehan told police he was wearing a reflective shirt and using the bicycle light.
