SATURDAY, MARCH 23

DUI for Chicago Woman

Police said Kimberley D. Smith, 43, of the 4000 block of Austin Avenue, Chicago, was charged with DUI after appearing to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop related to illegal parking on the roadway and failure to signal at 1:32 a.m. Smith failed an ensuing breath test and was charged with two counts of DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to signal, illegal parking on roadway, and failure to display driver’s license, police said. She was released to appear in court.

Phone Threat Reported

Someone made verbal threats against a woman from the 900 block of South Garfield Street during a phone call at 7:46 a.m., police said. The case is pending.

THURSDAY, MARCH 21

Car Keyed

A resident reported someone used a sharp object to scratch their vehicle while it was parked in a driveway in the 400 block of West 58th Place between 6 and 8 a.m. March 5, police said. Repairing the damage cost the victim $300, police said. The case is currently pending.
