DUI, Hit and Run Reported by Clarendon Hills Police

Patch looks at recent criminal offenses in Clarendon Hills.

DUI—Steven A. Chatt, of 268 Oxford Ave. in Clarendon Hills, was charged with DUI after he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for disobeying a stop sign and improper lane usage near the intersection of Norfolk Avenue and Oxford at 10:33 p.m. March 6, and refused to submit to field sobriety and breath tests.

Chatt, 54, was charged with DUI, disobeying a stop sign, improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured vehicle, according to the .

Hit and run—A complainant reported to police that his vehicle's rear bumper was cracked and damaged by an unknown suspect in a hit-and-run accident while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot at 4 Walker Ave. between 12 p.m. and 3:42 p.m. March 1.

According to police, there were no witnesses to, or video of the incident, and there are no suspects. 

Driving on suspended license—Jessica E. Williams, 24, of 1020 S. Williams St. Apt G3 in Westmont, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a registration check showed she had a suspended license during a traffic stop for having wires dragging from her vehicle's passenger near the intersection of Route 83 and 55th Street at 5:07 p.m. March 4.
