Hit and Run Witnessed
A driver in a maroon Ford Taurus hit a parked car in the 10 block of south Washington Street and drove off without leaving personal information at 12:33 p.m.
Police said a person working in the area at the time witnessed the incident. The value of the damage to the victim’s car was not known at the time of the report.
SUNDAY, OCT. 21
Light Fixture Broken
A resident from the 700 block of McKinley Lane reported that someone damaged a light fixture on the resident’s garage some time between 8 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 a.m. Sunday. The value of the damage was not known at the time of the report.
FRIDAY, OCT. 19
Willowbrook Man Charged With DUI
Matias Getzamani, 22, of the 16W600 block of Mockingbird Lane, Willowbrook, was charged with DUI after he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for speeding and improper lane use near the intersection of 55th Street and Route 83 at 1:25 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test, police said.
Getzamani was charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane use. He was released to appear in court.
THURSDAY, OCT. 18
Telephone Box Damaged
A resident from the 400 block of east 9th Street reported that an unknown person pried open a telephone box on the outside of the resident’s home between 2 p.m. Oct. 3 and 12:04 p.m. Oct. 18.
