DUI for Indiana Man
Daniel F. Mahaney, 46, of the 0-100 block of Sorrel Court, Zionsville, IN, was charged with DUI after he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol during an 11:33 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Garfield Street and Hinsdale Avenue, and failed an ensuing breath test, police said.
He was released to appear in court.

Hit and Run Reported
A driver in a tan SUV backed into another vehicle in the 10 block of East 1st Street at 1:16 p.m. and then fled without reporting the incident, police said.

FRIDAY, DEC. 20
No Valid License
Jeffery S. Henrich, 29, of the 600 block of West Hinsdale Avenue, Hinsdale, was charged with driving without a valid license after a 1:24 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Garfield and 8th Street, police said.
He was released to appear in court.
