DUI, Speeding, Uninsured Vehicle
James L. Hanson, 30, of the 4300 block of Western Avenue, Western Springs, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle. Police at 1:57 a.m. stopped Hanson on the 100 block of East 55th Street for speeding, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test to determine blood alcohol level. He was charged and released to appear in court.FRIDAY, JUNE 21
DUI, Disobeying 3 Stop Signs
Michael J. Kiefer, 54, of the 600 block of North Vine Street, Hinsdale, was charged with the following:- Driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08
- Disobeying a stop sign (three counts)
- Driving an uninsured vehicle
- Improper lane use
Police at 11:47 p.m. stopped Kiefer at Chicago Avenue and Vine Street for disobeying stop signs and improper lane use, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted a breath test, which indicated his blood alcohol content was greater than .08. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Burglary From Motor Vehicle
Someone smashed a window and stole a $200 purse from a parked vehicle on the first block of Maple. The incident occurred sometime between 3:15 p.m. and 3:42 p.m., according to police.
