Clarendon Hills Man Arrested For Running Cannabis Operation

Sheriffs deputies found more than 400 cannabis plants in his home.

Sheriff John E. Zaruba has announced the discovery of a cannabis grow operation in unincorporated Clarendon Hills.

Thursday night, detectives from the DuPage County Sheriff's office arrested Stephen M. Baker, 43, of the 5900 block of Clarendon Hills Road in unincorporated Clarendon Hills and charged him with one count of Production or Possession of Cannabis Plants for more than over 200 plants, a class one felony.

Deputies responded to a call from Baker's landlord about a suspicious incident at the residence. The landlord said he was at the home to check out a water leak that Baker had reported to him. It was at that time he noticed the windows were covered with condensation. When he went inside, he discovered a large number of green leafy plants growing with lights on them.
