Pipe Stolen from Construction Site
Thirty 10-foot lengths of pipe worth a combined $1,570 were reported stolen at 8:10 a.m. from the construction site in the 200 block of 55th Street. There are no suspects.
Apartment Illegally Entered
A resident of an apartment complex in the 200 block of north Richmond Avenue reported to police at 6:52 p.m. that upon returning home that night he found his door ajar and his apartment seemingly searched.
Police say the complainant had left his door unlocked when he left around 12:30 p.m. that day. Nothing was missing from the apartment.
MONDAY, SEPT. 3
Hit and Run
A car parked in the 10 block of Gilbert Avenue was backed into by an unknown driver between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., causing damage to the rear bumper.
THURSDAY, AUG. 30
A resident from the 200 block of Oxford Avenue reported that she came home around 6 p.m. and found her back door broken, and several eletronics items missing.
Police say the investigation is pending, but there is at least one known suspect. The burglary is believed to have taken place between 10:50 a.m. and 5:58 p.m., a time frame during which nobody was home.
