Garfield Street Burglary Reported, Jewelry Missing

A home in the 500 block of North Garfield Street was broken-into Sunday evening, Hinsdale Police say.

Jewelry and money were taken from a burglarized home in the 500 block of North Garfield Street between 5:30 p.m. and 7:43 p.m. Sunday, Hinsdale Police Department officials say.

Some time during that two-hour timeframe, Deputy Chief Kevin Simpson said, a burglar broke into the home by prying open a rear door and took a jewelry box and change holder in the house’s master bedroom.

“Multiple rooms were ransacked,” Simpson said.
