Bogus Check for Tires, DUI Reported by Clarendon Hills Police

The following are recent offenses in Clarendon Hills' police blotter.

Deceptive practice—An unknown suspect passed a bogus check with false information to pay for tires and another auto part worth a combined $1,240 at Infiniti of Clarendon Hills, according to a March 5 report to the .

Police looked into one possible suspect, but no charges came of it. There are no other suspects and the case has been closed.

DUI—Matthew E. Talley, of 808 Arlington Ave. Apt. 7 in LaGrange, was charged with DUI after he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol during a speeding stop near 55th Street and Richmond Avenue at 10:41 p.m. March 19, and failed an ensuing breath test.

Talley, 29, was charged with DUI and speeding. He was released with a court date.
