Alleged Hinsdale Drug Dealer Arrested (Again) After Downtown Apartment Raided

Police say they found over 1,000 prescription medication pills, as well as marijuana, cocaine and hallucinogenic mushrooms, in a downtown Hinsdale apartment.

The DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group has arrested a Hinsdale man and charged him with eight felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, after, police said, seizing a variety of illegal drugs from his downtown Hinsdale apartment, the Doings Hinsdale reports

According to the paper, Sean M. O’Malley, 58, of 108 S. Washington Ave., was arrested on April 25—the second time in a year, as he was previously charged with possession of a controlled substance with attempt to deliver in June 2012.

Police said that they found over a thousand prescription pills, 200 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 130 grams of marijuana and three grams of cocaine in the apartment in the heart of the Hinsdale downtown.

“This was a significant seizure of prescription pills,” Mark Piccoli, the director of the regional enforcement group, told the paper, adding that drug sales “are obviously an ongoing problem in Hinsdale… It’s the second time (O’Malley) has been arrested, so that’s a problem.”
