5 Charged With Underage Drinking in Separate Incidents: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, May 16-19

SUNDAY, MAY 19

DUI, Uninsured Vehicle

Francisco Rodriguez, 21, of the 2900 block of North Pulaski, Chicago, was charged with DUI, DUI .08 or more, disobeying a stop sign and driving an uninsured vehicle. Police said they stopped Walters at 4:09 a.m. at 4th and Vine streets for disobeying a stop sign, according to a report.

Rodriguez was observed to be under the influence of alcohol during the traffic stop. He submitted a breath sample with blood alcohol content over .08. He was charged and released to appear in court.

A passenger in Rodriguez’s vehicle had a warrant for probation violation from Florida, the report said. The passenger was taken into custody and transported to the DuPage County Jail.

Underage Drinking I

Two Hinsdale teen girls were charged with underage drinking during a traffic stop at 55th Street and Laurie Lane, police said. The girls, ages 15 and 17, were passengers in a vehicle that was pulled over at 2:01 a.m. for a traffic violation, according to a police report.

The girls were observed to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted to breath tests that confirmed this, the report said. The girls were charged and released to their parents. The 15-year-old was also charged with violating curfew.

Underage Drinking II

Two 20-year-old Naperville men were charged with underage drinking during a traffic stop at Madison Street and Chicago Avenue, police said. Jack W. Polancich, of the 1600 block of Clyde Drive, and Matthew P. Bartolotta, of the 200 block of Settlers Court, were passengers in a vehicle that was stopped at 12:29 a.m. for a traffic violation, according to a police report.

The men were observed to be under the influence of alcohol and Bartolotta failed his breath test, the report said. Polancich refused to take a breath test, but he and Bartolotta were charged and released to appear in court.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for the traffic violation and released from the scene, police said.

SATURDAY, MAY 18

Underage Drinking III

A 17-year-old Westmont teen was seen walking through Robbins Park after hours at 12:50 a.m. The teen was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and failed a breath test, according to police. The teen was charged with underage drinking and released to a parent.

THURSDAY, MAY 16

Attempted Identity Theft

Someone contacted an investment company at 8:43 a.m. and attempted to obtain a resident's personal information, police said. A case for this incident is pending.
