3 Related Car Burglaries Reported in Clarendon Hills: Police Blotter

Clarendon Hills police reports, Dec. 27-Jan. 2.

SATURDAY, DEC. 29

Change Stolen from Unlocked Car

Someone entered an unlocked car parked in the 100 block of Hiawatha Drive and took $2 in change some time overnight between Dec. 28 and Dec. 29, police said. It was one of three car burglaries reported on Hiawatha during the same time frame, and police said they believe the incidents to be related.

GPS Snatched

A $100 GPS device was taken from an unlocked car in another burglary reported in the 100 block of Hiawatha overnight between Dec. 28 and Dec. 29, police said. About $3 in change was also missing. There are no suspects.

iPod Missing, As Well

Finally, a $200 iPod was taken from an unlocked car in the 0-100 block of Hiawatha overnight between Dec. 28 and Dec. 29, police said. There are no suspects.

Light Pole Ripped from Ground

A resident from the 100 block of Juliet Court reported that a light pole on the resident's property was removed from the ground and an inflatable snow globe was damaged some time overnight between Dec. 27 and Dec. 28, police said. 

The light pole was valued at $500 and the globe was valued at $100. There are no suspects.

THURSDAY, DEC. 27

Christmas Polar Bears Damaged

A resident from the 300 block of Ruby Street reported that someone knocked over and damaged three decorative polar bears made of Christmas lights sometime overnight between Dec. 26 and Dec. 27, police said. The damage was valued at $300.
