3 DUI Arrests Made in Hinsdale: Police Blotter

Hinsdale police reports, Aug. 21-27

Editor's note: The Hinsdale Police Department is currently in the middle of leading up to Labor Day. The department made three DUI arrests in the last week and details of those arrests are below.

SUNDAY, AUG. 26

DUI

Ian E. Dilworth, 35, of the 14500 block of Independence Drive, Plainfield, was charged with DUI after police said they observed him to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use and speeding near the intersection of 55th Street and Taft Road at 2:19 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test.

Dilworth was charged with two counts of DUI as well as improper lane use and speeding. He was released to appear in court.

SATURDAY, AUG. 25

DUI

Jonathan Bautista, 20, of the 500 block of south Cass Avenue, Westmont, was charged with DUI after police said they observed him to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and York Road at 11:50 p.m., and failed an ensuing breath test.

Police said an open bottle of beer was found in the passenger compartment of Bautista’s vehicle and Bautista was driving on a suspended license. He was charged with two counts of DUI, driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use. He was released to appear in court.

THURSDAY, AUG. 23

DUI

Michelle Gutknecht, 26, of the 5200 block of Main Street, Downers Grove, was charged with DUI after police said they observed her to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and York Road at 2:36 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test.

Police said Gutknecht also was in possession of a substance that field-tested positive for cannabis. She was charged with two counts of DUI, possession of cannabis and improper lane use. Her passenger, 31-year-old Matthew Skirving, of the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, had an open alcohol container when the car was stopped, according to police.

Both were released to appear in court.
