2 Unlocked Vehicles Burglarized Outside Apartment Complex

Police believe the two burglaries are related based on the time frames during which they occurred and location.

Two vehicles parked at the Colonial Gardens apartment complex in the 5500 block of South Madison Street were burglarized between 8 p.m. Nov. 11 and 4 p.m. Nov. 12, police said.

Both vehicles were unlocked when an unknown burglar entered them. Music equipment, a GPS device, sunglasses and iPad and an iPod were stolen from one that was burglarized some time between 9 p.m. Nov. 11 and 4 p.m. Nov. 12. Nothing was stolen from the other, which was burglarized some time between 8 p.m. Nov. 11 and 5:10 a.m. Nov. 12, but belongings inside were went through.

Deputy chief Mark Wodka of the Hinsdale Police Department said the two burglaries are believed to be related.
