Bust out the earmuffs and Xanax, folks.
Why?

I have already tried recruiting my husband to a few of these shows, and I was immediately shut down.
"I don't want to go to that crap. Can't you take your mom?"
To which I replied, "She won't want to go either."
Even my girlfriend won't go. She refuses to even tell her daughter about it so she won't be hassled about going.
So, it looks like I'm on my own. That's alright, though. I'll be sure to take plenty of pics for her scrapbook so she remembers whom the super-cool parent was that took her to all of those events when she was younger. That's right, me!
I remember attending a Disney on Ice show when I was little. I don't recall a lot of the details, but I remember feeling very special and thankful that my mom and dad took me, considering we had to drive two-and-a-half hours to St. Louis to see it.
Isn't it great to live in Chicago, where shows like this are so easily accessible? I certainly think so, and my daughter does, too!
