Hart will be involved with the districts, camps and special events while also supervising Community Center activities.

The following is a release from the :

Jessica Hart’s very first job as a high school student was with the City of Elgin’s Parks and Recreation Department. Working in her hometown of Elgin, the then student at St. Edward High School found herself working part time at the city’s sports complex, ice rink and with several recreation programs. This early job led to an interest in a recreation career, and Hart graduated from Judson College in Elgin in 2007 receiving a degree in Sports Management. She even found time to play collegiate softball throughout her undergraduate career.

After launching her professional career during a four-year stint with the Salt Creek Rural Park District in Palatine, Hart joined the Clarendon Hills Park District staff on May 7 as a Recreation Supervisor.  She will be involved with camp programs, special events, youth activities, brochure development and general supervisory activities at the Community Center.

During her first few weeks on board, Hart has been touring the Clarendon Hills Park District’s eight properties, meeting fellow staff members and residents of the community and gearing up for the opening of day camp programs on Monday, June 18. She’s also particularly excited about the Clarendon Hills Park District’s “Arts in the Parks” drop-in program which allows local families to explore four different parks on Friday mornings this summer, enjoying supervised games and crafts projects with energetic members of the Clarendon Hills Park District’s recreation staff.

“’Arts in the Parks’ gives residents an opportunity to discover our smaller, neighborhood parks while realizing how much fun parents and their children can have in a relaxed, unstructured setting. I’m excited and proud that the Clarendon Hills Park District has been able to provide this program to the community,” Hart added.

“Clarendon Hills is such a warm and friendly community, and I’m enjoying the opportunity to work in a small town which has such wonderful facilities,” she said.
