Holiday Ball Raises $220,000 for Community House

According to The Doings Hinsdale, more than 420 guests attended the $300-per-person gala on Dec. 3.

's 2011 Holiday Ball on Dec. 3 raised $220,000 for the nonprofit organization that offers recreational programs and social services for Hinsdale and its surrounding community, according to this story published online Wednesday by The Doings Hinsdale.

The Doings reports that more than 420 people attended the gala to which tickets, , cost $300 per person.

Doors opened at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction, the Patch listing reads. The formal dinner began an 8 p.m., followed by dessert and dancing. The co-chairs of the 2011 ball were Andrea and Dick Burridge, and Barbara and Robert Early.

The Doings article reads, "All proceeds from the Holiday Ball support the various programs and services at The Community House including Charlie’s Gift Autism Center which provides diagnosis, therapy and support to children and families impacted by autism disorders, the Willowbrook Corner programs and the Community House Counseling Center."
