Hinsdale Designer Recognized Nationally as Industry Leader

Each year, Professional Remodeler Magazine recognizes the industry’s next generation of leaders in a “40 Under 40” competition.  Leslie (Marzec) Lee, Hinsdale resident and Designer for Normandy Remodeling, was listed in addition to 39 other individuals as a national industry leader. This distinction was made based on her professional and personal experiences, in addition to her role in professional and volunteer organizations.

“It’s such an honor to be recognized and included in such an elite group of peers across the country,” says Lee.  Lee graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana before joining the Normandy Remodeling team.  Since joining Normandy, Lee has won numerous local and national awards and had her work featured in various publications.  “With my father, Reg Marzec, being one of the founders of Normandy, I’ve been around the industry my whole life and have literally been able to absorb a lifetime of information via his knowledge,” commented Lee.  “I remember when I was younger and we’d be in the car, he would be pointing out architecturally unique homes and buildings along the way.” 

“My next big goal is to be published in Architectural Digest Magazine.”  When asked if she had any advice for young designers, Leslie replied, “Just go for it, set your goals high enough to get to where you want to be.”

Leslie has been designing beautiful projects at Normandy for almost a decade, but has been around the family business all her life. Her father, Reg Marzec, built the company on the foundation of providing value while maintaining integrity. Over 30 years later, Leslie is committed to continuing this tradition.
